I couldn't be happier that this is finally (starting to look like) over.

Next step is Lindows^H^H^H^Hspire will need to find some other alternative in order to continue to generate publicity for themselves.

This is not a good thing. A good thing would be MS loosing claim to a generic name. Trademarking a generic name is stealing from the Commons, pure and simple. When you pick a name for your product you have to chose. 1. Use a generic name and benefit initially by not having to "explain" what your product is about. Downside: Later you can not protect the name. 2. Use artificial created name and climb an initial steeper hill but name is protected.

Take you pick and live with it. MS did not do that and need to loose the Windows TM.
