I've been using $199.00 (+ $109 monitor = $308) Linux PC's from Wal-mart and Amazon as X terminals on my client's networks. Reliability has been very good, and I don't have to tether 4 users together. These units are probably up to acting as X terminals for 4 workstations, so if I did want to do the same thing with them, I guess I could do it for about $170 per workstation. Might make an interesting project anyway. :-) |
