I've been using Fedora Core 2 for a week or two now at home and I'm rather impressed. After having spent a year or so with Mandrake (and dabbled a little with Suse 9.x and RedHat 9) it was more of an experiment initially. I'd heard about the "spatial browser" thing in Gnome 2.6 and was wary. What a surprise! Gnome 2.6 is just excellent. I've been a KDE man since I started with Linux but Gnome 2.6 has changed my mind. I still have Mandrake 10 on the pc as well, for 3d purposes (the FC2 kernel has issues with the current nvidia driver - I can wait till nvidia come up with a new build) but for all daily use I'm sticking with Fedora for the time being. 9.5 out of 10 (Gotta deduct half a point for "shade" being missing from the right click window titlebar behaviour menu.) |
