Maybe not in Brown's and Didio's league but this idiot was the author of the "What SCO Wants, SCO Gets" article a year ago. Saviour this last comment in the article. "These guys in Utah are no dummies. The crunchies in the Linux community should be paying more attention." I guess he was partly right. The Linux folks started to pay attention. Lastly, If you notice the article is based on HP's view of IBM. so hardly a ringing endorcement. Why shouldn't IBM support and promote AIX at accounts that is already using it. The latest AIX is called L5, by the way where the L stands for Linux, meaning that you can run Linux binaries directly. That way you can continue with AIX, or Convert at your own pace with a perfect mixed environment. Seems like a good idea to me. Lastly check out HP's OpenVMS / Itanium effort to get a crash course in how not to do things. |
