Remember Distrotest.net before it disappeared? Well I found a new version that's even better then that. Its called DistroSea.

I don't think it has as many distros to try as that old website used to have but it has a much better interface and modern look to it. I tried it out and it is really cool and I thought I would let you all in on it if you haven't heard about it already. Check it out and tell me what you think.

there were sites before these that let people test-drive distros, but remembering the names now is not easy. It's expensive to run such services and "Linux" Foundation only devotes about 2% of its money to Linux, almost all of that to server.

"In the past, there was a website called DistroTest that would let you do that for free, but it's now defunct. Luckily, there's a spiritual successor called DistroSea with myriad distros for you to try. The experience of course is limited by your internet connection. For me, DistroSea even on high-speed wired connection is still slower than a virtual machine. The project is volunteer-run, though, and meant just for testing..."

An excellent idea for all those computers currently in service that aren't Windows 11 hardware compliant.

I really liked that it had some distros that I hadn't heard of before and some I just had..

Definitely a little slow depending on your internet connection but still, it gives you a lot of different versions of the distro you're checking out to choose from very recent to much older.

I really liked the EndeavorOS one and the Archcraft one but then I've only been on the site a couple of times so far.

I want to check out VanillaOS I just found out existed and Garuda along with a few others too.

Here's another one I found. DistroWiz. It doesn't have a ton of Distros to choose from but still, it's a cool site.
