This video demonstration of an older Linux distribution shows one of the biggest advantages Linux has over Microsoft Windows: software programs. Modern popular Linux distros all include a myriad of productivity (multimedia, graphics and office) software. As well as the ability to install optional free software.

In terms of marketing, this is one of the biggest selling points for switching to Linux.

Don't tell me why I shouldn't use Windows, tell me why I should use Linux.

"tell me why I should use Linux." Or FreeBSD, or Haiku, or OpenBSD, or SerenityOS, or...

Absolutely, all the software that it comes is awesome and makes the installation not feel so 'naked'. Just being to spend hours and hours going through my Software Manager looking at stuff is fun. I'll never find everything in there. Just type in a word and see what comes up..lol. You never know. ;-)
