Immutable desktops like Fedora Kinoite and Silverblue

Immutable desktops are the future, but I'm not sure they are the present. Applications come in through Flatpak. I had trouble with Flatpak in Debian Buster (many apps wouldn't install) and Bullseye (permissions issues). I'm glad they're working on it, but I don't think Silverblue is ready for "production," as it were. |

I'm interested in trying it, although the idea of flatpaks for almost everything doesn't seem like its there yet for me |

In Fedora Silverblue, you have to add "Toolboxes" to get most console apps and programming languages. The Flatpaks are generally just for GUI apps. |
