I use Unison to sync a set of files on my desktop and server. My use case is unusual/complicated in that sometimes files change on the client desktop and sometimes on the server, and I need to keep them in sync. Unison has done this very well. Once you figure out the technical hurdles to get it working, it's all good. The biggest hurdles are that you need to have the same version of Unison running on both ends, and you need them to have been compiled with the same version of OCaml. Also, I have never been able to get it to work between a Windows client and Linux server. When I ran Windows 10 for a time, I ran Unison in the WSL, and that worked great. |
