Confusion over free/midnight BSD's and linux put together

Seems to me that there's a bit of a steep learning curve to getting Free or MidnightBSD's installed and dual-booting AFTER any particular Linux distro is already installed. Sure, there s the possibility of putting MidnightBSD into a victualbox guest under a hosting linux distro. The confusing case here though is a DUAL-BOOT installation w/o using vbox. Wallen completely omits this option in his summary Installation steps of "4. Partitioning hard drive". The FreeBSD Handbook itself on installation partitioning -- https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/bsdinstall-partitioning... -- ALSO omits this likely possibility. 2c |
