is this a good way to reach a broader audience?

my initial question was: what does android non-free software have to do with linux and free software? i realize that this was posted on linuxjournal, but the same comment i am writing here applies there as well. but instead of complaining about that, i think it is more interesting to discuss which audience lxer and/or the linuxjournal want to reach? i can see how it would be nice to find an angle to reach any android users as well so they can learn about the free software that is under the hood of their phone, but i don't yet see how that could be done without alienating the current core audience. however, just because i don't see it, doesn't mean that there isn't a way. maybe you have a better idea. greetings, eMBee. |
