A lot of what is in Linux Mint 18 is good.
My machine at home has been upgraded recently. In particular I find that it comes out of hibernate much faster. Perhaps that is something to do with the dreaded systemd? My only gripe so far is that sometimes the mouse cursor just disappears when switching out and into X. Others have experienced this.
