The author is calling for a laptop in a tablet. All the functionality, performance, and battery life of a laptop, but with the form factor of a tablet. After you tackle the limitations of technology making that impossible, you have to tackle the limitations imposed by the vendor's since it would contain highly specialised components without supporting software available. It's challenging enough finding a laptop that supports GNU/Linux. |

Pi-Top and Kano are steps in that direction. They both use the PiTFT display so touch input is supported. Pi-Top claims 6 hours on a single charge. |
