They claim openness, privacy, and security as priorities in their battle against Google and vendors...but then whore themselves out to Microsoft?

Too bad, but as they say, everyone has their price, and Microsoft seems to have found Cyanogen's.

My prediction: It won't be long before another Cyanogenmod emerges to fill the void.

Cyanogenmod does not have widespread adoption among OEMs, this news is not very pertinent.

Cyanogen isn't widespread with OEMs, but it's pretty much the only game in town for people who want to upgrade the firmware on older phones... That's why it's pertinent.

The question is, How much does this affect the free firmware upgrades? We know it affects the commercial versions of Cyanogenmod, but does it affect the firmwares that you download for various old devices?
