All the gripers seems to base their arguments on a misunderstanding of the issue, most often in a way that suits the griper's political/philosophical bias (sound familiar?). It seems to me the issue can best be put in minimal form: You can use, screw around with, and redistribute an Ubuntu Docker image however you want. But when you redistribute the screwed-around-with image, call it your own image, not Canonical's. |
