Quoting:There’s no binary package for Prey in the repository, so you’ll have to download a .deb package from the project’s download page. Since you’ll be installing it on a Ubuntu-based distribution, download the one for Ubuntu. Save it to the Downloads folder. Once you’ve downloaded the appropriate file, simply right-click on it and select Open With “GDebi Package Installer”. By default it's the first option listed. The program may require the installation of other software package dependencies. Just click on the Install Package button, enter your password, and the installer will automatically download all necessary files before installing. That's it. You're done. Yeah, it's that easy. I have Prey installed on everything I own. |
