Go to your local computer store -- or go online -- and buy a new laptop HD. Remove the drive that is infested with Superfish and stick in a drawer -- in case you need to return the laptop to a repair center and they'll only work with the original Windows OS. Install the new HD. Get out your Linux media and install from scratch. Done. |

Warranties? Are they really worth the paper they're printed on? |

Yes, they are. I've never had a warranty dis-honored. I've even had a couple graciously extended to cover me when they had expired. |
