They need to clean it up and speed it up

All those changes the Fedora Project have done since release 18 have created a real mess. It is more difficult to administer and is *much* slower. They need to review all those changes over the last couple of years.
I have been using Red Hat since the mid 1990's. Since RH split off Fedora I have used RHEL clones and Fedora, but I have become fed up with Fedora. I have successfully switched a number of my users to Linux Mint, including myself. We still use Scientific Linux on our servers. They need to: 1. Clean up their installer. It is a disaster. 2. Look under the covers and see what is not working together. Fedora has turned into a real performance pig. Please clean it up 3. They need to clean up their RPM system and replace YUM. The word is that is in progress. I hope so. |
