This is all about speeding up graphics on local machines. It is actually a good idea. Let us take the network stuff out of local graphics. But all of these local display managers have an X11 layer when they have to connect over a network. Please spare me the nonsense about replacing X over a network until you have at least tried to do it. So far no one has tried to do that. |
