This post has nothing to do with LXer but I wanted all my friends here to know..

I met someone, and to put it simply things have gone really, like really well. As in I am having Yvette move in with me in a couple months when the lease on her apartment is up. Oh and we will be tying the knot soon too. When we figure out what date we agree on I will let everyone know.

Like I said, this has nothing to do with LXer but I consider many of you my friends and I could not just let something like this go by without telling those I care about. Please forgive me for using LXer as a personal platform this once.

Regards, Scott

Sorry DrGeoffrey and cr.......I did post congrats in this spot (which of course is no longer blank)......but then realised that something is odd and deleted my original "congrats comment". The top part of this thread is dated "2014" and I had already posted a congrats statement right at the top under "the smiley cat" and began to wonder if this is a thread that has accidentally been put back onto LXer Latest Discussions.

It needs a response from Scott because I don't know now if this thread is real or a mistake.......or what. You'll find I have modified my top response as well.......

This accidentally "resurrected thread" reminds me of a time when I was working for a large company and one of the employees intended to send a retirement email to his colleagues in his local work group. By mistake he clicked on the group email address for ALL 100,000+ employees.

But what happened next is that a full 100 people REPLIED to that email each sending their chastisement with copies to the same 100,000+ employees. It took a full day before the email system settled back to normal, with all the replies to the replies.

This situation is a little different, since Scott's message was sent a year ago, but I wonder how long it will take before the responses dwindle.
