It might even be an anti-trust issue, if Microsoft wasn't already dinging Android over bogus Microsoft patents (apparently for more than they charge for their own mobile OS's). But to be extorting those bogus "licensing" fees from OEMs over Android, while making Windows Phone available for $free would probably be too blatant a scam, even for the American DOJ. (Of course, MS could always convert those "patent licenses" to $free as well... but somehow, I just don't see that happening...) |

Good points, Bernard. They are in a pretty pickle of their own making. They've been coasting on stale, inferior technology for decades, and their only real innovation is protection rackets. |
