Red Hat must have been getting a lot of customer pressure to move forward on this. For one thing, the world seems to be migrating to MariaDB (even google is making that move) while RHEL was stuck in the mud on that one. As a user of RHEL on my servers, I'm giving RedHat a big +1 on this move. |
