When Nvidia gets around to fixing(*) their source code to be less fragile.

(*)This may also mean "releasing under an open-source license."

Update: The latest releases now build with Linux 3.10.x. Well, that's true for 304.108, which is the newest release. I'm assuming it's true for the other versions as well.

304.108? Yep, that's one of the driver series, the one in my archive is 304.88, so it's been updated.

The other driver (for newer hardware) that I have is 325.08, which I'm sure has been updated. Let's look ....

Yep, now 325.15. Thanks, Gus.

It's a good idea for them to do this, since 3.10 is a "long term support" version. :^)

Thanks, gus. I just ran into this a couple days ago with a Liquorix kernel update. I didn't think to check nVidia's site, either.
