Just curious... when you say you worked with pfsense, did you happen to have the Snort package installed and correctly configured? How about ntop? I've used this combo, along with Active Directory, for several years now and its met (if not exceeded) my needs the whole way. Now maybe I'm just that good at what I do, considering I've been involved in IT for 30 years and have worked with open source systems for 15 years. But I'll put my pfsense box up against any Cisco solution any day, as I've frequently told the firewall admin where I work. His response has often reflected your own, but he's strictly tech school trained, where I'm a certified hacker. |
