I almost thought this was an April Fools joke... But actually, it's apparently not. Good news, actually. I always felt that Wubi was a cop-out for Windows, side-by-side, installs. Plus, Win8 & UEFI secure boot doesn't play nice... |

Beyond that - this is what virtual box is for! ~Jeff |

this is what virtual box is for! Yes, on a technical level, this is true. However, getting an average user to wrap his head around the concept of software running on his PC imitating a PC on which you can run other software is dificult. On a conceptual level they seem to be unable to handle this "inception". WUBI was brilliant in that it was an automated "next, next, finish" solution for geting a running Ubuntu installation. The hard stuff was nicely hidden behind a friendly installer. I don't think average users are going to use VirtualBox en masse to try out Ubuntu. |

Not a single April Fools article on Lxer this year? It seems the grouchy, overly-serious bunch has won. I say give something to the happier, non-whiners who can allow news to just be fun and still have a good day. |

Yea me! But I didn't see the old article about RMS becoming a fashion consultant... |

If I had seen any I would made sure they were posted on April 1. The only problem I have is which April 1. America's or Australia's? |

Quoting:But I didn't see the old article about RMS becoming a fashion consultant... I'm torn between nausea and hysterical giggling. |
