I'm thankful for Metro, Surface & UEFI. Now you know. |

According to Microsoft there is no such thing as Metro. http://www.zdnet.com/microsoft-dont-call-it-metro-call-it-wi... |

Hairyfeet, what swayed your opinion on Metro/Mordern UI/Whatchamacallit? You used to be slightly apprehensive. |

Well, stating the obvious, without FOSS, organizations like mine could not have given away hundreds of computers to disadvantaged people. And it's not like we're the only one. It is gratifying to see that dozens of efforts have cropped up over the past few years, doing the same thing. But Harryfeet and I do, strangely enough, have something in common. We've both made a living from fixing wonky Windows computers. Of course, he perpetuates his success by selling them then fixing them six months later. I simply hold a small client list and fix on demand. 80% of the money I've made doing so has went to put my kid through college. So see, even the most polarized issues can find common ground. |

Quoting:That's not the real hairyfeet ... Maybe not, but it is fun. |

We are all Hairyfeet. Or should I say there's a bit of Hairyfeet in all of us. |
