I have two issues with this statement: 1) It's a Rob Enderle statement -- automatic grounds to double-check.. 2) Other sources say that actually a (not identified) key component for iPhones is "not readily available". (in general? in just Apple's supply chain?) I could easily believe either explanation. Or even both -- deliberate throttling and supply chain issues. Does anybody have solid info? |

True or not, deliberate or not, it makes a certain sense for Apple. They make nice margins selling to a niche market and let all the android sellers go after the less profitable fruits. That approach does wear out eventually, and you have to come up with something new and wonderful. The challenge of the post-Jobs era. |
