Yeah, I believe the Gnome developers are deceptive. No, I mean I believe people have deceived the Gnome developers. That's not it, either. I believe people have been unfairly negative about the direction(s) the Gnome developers have taken lately. And, I believe in unicorns and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. But, I left my charts and graphs at home.

I've played with GNOME3 a bit. While it's not my choice in desktop environment it is nowhere near as bad as the Linux tech press would have you believe. It's usable for sure.

Well -- take it in context of KDE 4.0.

And, let's be honest -- the KDE team, by nearly all accounts, have taken an unusable pile of sludge and turned it into a pretty nice desktop.

Imagine what could be done if you start from "usable".

I'll use Sawfish, XFCE, LXDE, FVWM-Crystal, or KDE 4 before I'll use GNOME 3.
