Runs Android 4.1.1 on a NVIDIA Tegra quad core. Unbelievable performance for a $200 tablet. Apple has some serious competition now in that market. HIGHLY recommended. |

Thanks for the report, Montezuma. I've been interested in MIPS devices going back to the days when I worked on an SGI O2 workstation. I've wanted one of the Lemote netbooks (like RMS has) for some time but they are prohibitively expensive to import right now. It's good to read that mainstream MIPS powered systems are available in the form of tablets. |

Isn't the NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC based on the ARM instruction set? Wikipedia seems to confirm it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tegra#Tegra_3 |

Quoting:Isn't the NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC based on the ARM instruction set?Yes, it is an ARM based chip. I had assumed that montezuma brought up the Nexus 7 because it runs Android 4.1.x rather than because he thought it was MIPS based. |

Well, CM 10 is in early alpha right now, so just a few month before my trusty, rusty old Galaxy S2 will go Jelly Bean as well. Good times ahead. |
