Why should I care about Bryan Lunduke and his little cr@ppy looking game? Most large Open Source development is funded by big companies, as much as some in the FOSS community don't like to admit that. Little projects have to be something really special to get steady funding. Linux Mint is the rare exception where it works because the project really is that good. I'm not surprised that Mr. Lunduke couldn't pull it off long term. I am also not surprised that Mr. Lunduke really has zero commitment to FOSS. Yes, he has to feed his family. I'm not convinced games like this can ever do that under any model. I also wonder how those who gave him money when he held his code hostage for donations feel now that he's gone back to closed code. |

You shouldn't :) It was funny when National Lampoon ran their "Buy this magazine or the dog gets it" cover. This does not rise to that level. |
