Much to the ire of the ex and possibly future "anti-piracy VP" for the copyright industries. New Zealand has shown some backbone, and refused to simply rubber stamp the request for extradition, of Kim Dotcom. |

Well, (and this is purely speculative, based on my limited contact with Americans who moved to Canada, or were trying to decide whether to move to Canada) how many Kiwis are former Americans, who figured they wanted out before things get bad? (PS: and No, this is not an "anti-American" snark.) |

Careful Bernard Kiwis can be angry nationalistic birds when aroused..... |

Naaaaah......it's the sheep you need to watch. "Hermit rams" are especially nasty. |

@montezuma I'm sure you are right. But the same can be said for Canada Geese -- and they're a lot bigger! (But in reality, it's the swans that you really need to be wary of). - - - - - @Ridcully I know very little about "hermit rams". Around here the sheep keep pretty much to themselves on rocky terrain I'd rather avoid -- but in mating season, rutting moose and elk can be crazy dangerous. |

@BernardSwiss......Hermit rams are rather curious and reasonably well known as occurring in the thick bushlands of New Zealand. Apparently, they "swear off" company in order to avoid shearing and take to the hills and hide. The results can be quite interesting: http://bdelintiad.runboard.com/t239 And here is a celebrity hermit ram: http://www.usatoday.com/news/offbeat/2004-04-28-shrek-sheep_... In the cartoon series, "Footrot Flats", Wal the sheep station owner occasionally had "trouble" with a hermit ram invading his flock of ewes and acting like Casanova - when discovered, it usually bailed Wal up a tree.....together with his sheepdog. I have spent a lot of time on various sheep properties and can vouch for the fact that you do NOT get in the way of a charging cantankerous ram - ever ! |
