So how in the world did it get through the queue? |

late at night, tired, cold (< 6 degrees C here) inattentive. I'll just go grab my sword, and fall on it. |

Nah, don't do that TA. Have some wine instead :) |

I sent Scott a warning. Who's got kill powers here these days? |
gus3 May 26, 2012 9:38 PM EDT |
Any user can "kill -9" any owned process, and root can "kill -9" any process except PID 1. Of course, kernel threads (kernel-only processes) never exit kernel mode, and so the signal-catching mechanism never gets invoked for them. Cheers! |

It's the weekend, so Scott is several bottles ahead of us by now. |

This soft of wine is a lot tastier than the kind that's usually covered in LXer articles :) |

Never too late, TA, it's a great breakfast beverage. |

TA, Ah the Hunter Valley home of my youth! Tyrrell's Chardonnay is my fave. |
