Don't get used to it though as one may never know when nautilus will like gnome and seemingly lots of other projects be radically overhauled for no good reason other then ?___? Nautilus shell coming soon--1 button nothing more..... no worries there will always be nautilus-classic and perhaps even a nautilus-cinnamon. I use pcmanfm myself. /quit raving lunatic sarcasm |

Well, if it ever might come to pass that Nautilus goes Shell on our behinds, I'll just add "Nautilus-Cinnamon" to Cinnamon and Muffin. After Cinnamon matured a bit, I can honestly say that I like Gnome 3. It's just that I can't stand the default lay-out of Shell. |

Gnome Shell is very good, but only after you use 10-20 extensions. Maybe that was their goal from the beginning, to create a framework like desktop environment to mold as you wish. Only problem is, that is in no way aimed to newbies as they claim. |

Most of the extensions are not authored by the gnome devs and notice that the site is labelled "beta" because some of them do not play nice with each other. I gave up on this and moved to Cinnamon because Mint is properly committed to it. One gets the sense that the gnome extensions site is simply a response to user unrest and not a serious venture. |
