That's what I believe this, I reckon Slackware will now be well served if they take advantage of some of the server/co-lo offers that have been made.

Not that I ever believed they would disappear as I said in previous postings elsewhere on Lxer it was a mountain out of a molehill.

Although I believe caitlyn's comment was rather offhand, she does have a point that basing another distro on a very small specialised distro like Slack is probably not a good idea, where it would only take a couple of dev's getting run over by a bus for it to get into trouble.

Sam Varghese never misses a chance to take a swipe at me.

The comment was not offhand. It had been a debate among our developers for about four years. Also, a little fact that Sam neglects to mention is there were months with little or no development activity prior to the server outage. There was real cause for concern. I don't regret either the comment or the decision it reflected.

Not just you, as far as I can tell.

@jdixon: You're right. If he doesn't like someone then character assassination is something he relishes. The last time he went after me he made false and libelous statements about me. It took one e-mail to his editors to get them removed. The man knows no limits and he has many targets that he goes after far more frequently.
