One thing that really gets my goat is when a Linux distro reviewer belly aches about the wallpaper! Really!?! Gee, it takes only about, I don't know, less than 10 seconds to change that!!! Likewise for color schemes or other theme related details. A review of a distro should focus on the underpinnings, not the superficial nonsense that themes and other personal details encompass. And before anyone pipes up with "well a theme makes a first impression" I say stuff it! A theme can be changed easily!

All this site seems to care about is a given distro's security posture (we get it - Ubiquity is more limited than Anaconda and the average jane don't know from firewalls) and how many screenshots they can stuff into the pages (always 2). Oh, and any KDE distro that doesn't offer the takeoff menu (I think that's the name - an abomination similar to Mandriva's ROSA menu) is chided for lack of modernity. Even Jim Lynch's reviews are better, even if they are spread over 7-8(!) pages. Or not...
