Seriously? It comes with a desktop file. What's the problem? Oh, he's running it from a Unity desktop.

Take it easy djohnston ! Give them a year or so, they will eventually catch up with other distros .

obviously, as it loads from the menu on my xfce, kde, and gnome desktops

interesting. I installed LMMS on a Gnome desktop on Linux Mint 11, and it failed to load a menu entry. I had to add it manually.

On Fedora 16 (xfce) a proper menu item is created on installation.

What a fun app! Thanks for recommending it. Makes me want to go out and buy a MIDI keyboard, but for now the keyboard and mouse are working fine.
