Does anyone more technically savvy than myself know if it would possible to use a Chrome (or preferably Chromium) browser to d/l the coming Flash Pepper API installation, and then have it work in a Firefox browser? Or will it possible for the FLOSS community to work on a Pepper API Add-on for Firefox?

The only thing I care about is getting this into Firefox somehow.

Me too.

Given that we are dealing with Open Source (at the Chrome end) this should be doable.

Mozilla are not interested in Pepper from what I have read.

So now that Flash doesn't run on Apple's iOS devices, doesn't run on my Android phone (YMMV) and might not run on most Linux browsers, the format itself is supposed to remain relevant?

Adobe has said they will not create new versions of flash for Linux, but they will support the 11.2 branch with security updates for 5 years. So flash in your firefox will be around for quite some time. flash is essentially dying, being replaced by other technologies like html5. I for one will not be sorry to see it fade away, especially for one of its truely crappy applications, web video delivery.

Flash is still relevant in that you need it to see the content on some websites. I really hope this gives some more impetus to getting gnash to the point where it can really replace Flash.
