A closed source GPU driver and non-free wifi firmware.

Better not buy one then. So we can force those silly KDE people to insist on a Fully open GPU driver and free wifi firmware, with the purchasing power they don't currently have. That'll teach those damned Chinese manufacturers.

I never said this was NOT a reason to buy one. This is in fact a problem with most all ARM hardware.

The problem is - similar to what was done with the N900 from sources I read.

The Spark is being pushed so hard as an open source device it is giving the impression to many I have spoken with that the device is fully open - what it is not. People should know this up front, not get it as a surprise after the fact.

Yep :(

It is why I have been yelling about ARM for months.
