You can't test the link when you submit a link (you'll just get a polite message saying:

"The story you looking for is gone. It was either retracted, or never did exist."

What I've been doing is submitting the story, then opening it in the pending queue to paste the link back in. Whee fun. I should try using a URL shortener just to see what happens when it collides with LXer's PHP scripts.

I see the same thing happen on Groklaw. I suspect it's an issue with form submission, or perhaps contradictory assumptions between the browser(s) and the server-side.
