Sure would be nice if they'd just open-source their driver, or maybe work to merge their driver and Nouveau. Nouveau is much better in its support of KMS and integrating into distros, but the 3D performance is cr@p. Maybe Nvidia could use Nouveau and then add a binary blob to it that adds the better 3D support, rather than their driver being completely separate and incompatible, and not working with KMS at all. |
