Their site requires Flash to see / do / navigate - I don't and will not do Flash. If anyone here allows Flash on their system, could you please ask them to provide a non-Flash About and Contact page? I would like to ask them the anticipated retail cost of the game - yes, I do pay for Linux-based software! This game looks like something I can get into! Regards, GEWB |

Seems to work well enough for me (except for the Flash videos, of course). I generally have Flash-Block enabled, but I tried it with Flash entirely disabled as well. Navigation worked fine, too Could it be a JavaScript issue, rather than Flash? |

yes it looked more like a javascript issue to me |

I had no problem at all with the site. Using Chrome, I watched multiple videos and everything worked fine. Here is their contact info: Quoting:Contact Us: |

While we're on the topic though, I have trouble seeing the videos on this site http://www.newscientist.com/ (for example, this http://www.newscientist.com/blogs/nstv/2012/02/hidden-equati... story) when using Firefox. At first I thought this might be because I was using FF 3, But now I'm using FF 10, and still not seeing even a place-holder. But in Chromium or Opera these Flash videos/animations work just fine. And I'm not having this problem on other sites. Any suggestions about where I should look/what might be causing this? + + + + Never mind -- it turns out to be because I have the Ghostery add-on/extension http://www.ghostery.com/ installed to block "web-bugs", and one of those web-bugs http://www.ghostery.com/apps/brightcove appears to be tied into the video hosting/management/tracking used by the New Scientist website. Possibly gewb has added a few sources to Ghostery, or configured his /etc/hosts file or a proxy to block the damned things? |

i think you are talking about two different sites. the site with the article (ubuntuvibes) works fine, but http://flying-cafe.com/en/#/main/ presents me with a fullscreen flash. there is an x in the corner to remove it but what remains is an empty black background. rather sad, because the flash content doesn't look like anything you couldn't do with html. even the embedded video is just from youtube. at least the blog operates without flash, so those who want to follow the updates can do so without trouble: http://flying-cafe.blogspot.com/ greetings, eMBee. |

@mbaehrlxer, Sure seems to me through the comments here that this is YET ANOTHER hyped game coming to Linux via buggy alphabeta-ware. What are the game devs REALLY looking for; more testers before Cradle comes out as an 0.1 RC in the late Spring or Summertime???!!! 2c |

Thanks mbaehrlxer - my bad for not putting the URL in. The flying-cafe site is the one I can't access. Saw the blog. Thanks to Fettoosh for posting the email - I'll drop them a line! Regards, GEWB |
