These little robots are definitely cool, but the costs per unit are astronomical... Right now they go for about $16K US, and the lower price for the "production" models for 2011 is projected around $7K US. At those prices, it's cheaper to build your own robot from scratch... even if you consider first buying a rapid prototyping machine, like a MakerBot... |
