Lots of bystanders and audience, few combatants. It might have entertainment value but that's about it. |

I largely agree,... Media software technology will adapt to fill whatever void is created. The impact on users is negligible, except for brief disruptive periods while the transition takes place. |

^You said that, but early on Flash was a big headache for linux users, HTML5 is really a good step forward. Adobe also recently announced they'll quit develop Flash for mobile OSes and concentrate on HTML5. Not sure why they are up in arms about things that will eventually be defunct. Android 4 don't even have Flash support on its release. For me as a consumer, more websites aren't adopting HTML5 fast enough. But I don't trust their decisions, it is another sector they needs to take control of. Ideally, underneath Apple's HTML5 videos is MPEG. It can be used to DRM purposes very well too. And these Occupy whatever people are missing the point. The current development of Microsoft Apple Adobe and co coming together to implement SOPA is scary and needs to be stop. With that said, I know very well that using Google instead of Apple or Microsoft is only choosing the lesser of the evils. |
