when the update failed (due to a network outage), and when the connection was re-established Windows 7 went into a death spiral. I was called in to have a look and suggested they consider Linux. After demonstrating Linux Mint 11 I was asked if I would replace Windows completely with Linux Mint. |

That's a great story; it'd be nice to hear of more, especially some involving somewhat larger companies (like small companies in the 10-50 employee range). |
