Quoting:Ubuntu 110.10 ‘Oneric Ocelot’

Damn I missed the releases from 11.04 to 110.04. I wonder what they were like.

My favorite was Zippy Zebra, but 'Here we go Again Hippo' was pretty cool, too.

Fantastic Ferret was one of the best.

Shimmering Shuggoths was cool. I liked the way that, when your partition filled up, the xterm prompt changed to the color "Out Of Space".

I liked Yodeling Yeti myself. The sound effects were worth the price by themselves.

Actually Steve, I believe you meant Funky Ferret?

But yeah, that one was rather nice -- probably my fave as well.

I personally thought "Crafty Chameleon" would have been the best choice for the next major release.....

I mean, it tries to look like a desktop but in the end, it just isn't.

@helios: More like Crufty Cameleopard, for the reason cited. Let's see if the next one does any better: "Take two! Tablets, call me in the morning!"

@ComputerBob: (...but it has to subtly remind you of the O'Reilly book covers)

@cr:

Yep,... it'll devour iOS, Win8, Android, and even small birds...

Oh, Android'll be safe; I've never seen a spider do anything with pastries and ice cream other than set up a web to trap attracted insects. Those others, though, they'll get their just desserts.
