Wasn't this posted just last week or so? |

Not the same item, but the same topic. Last week or so, there was a blog item that LXer.com picked up. This is an article on the same thing from a different source. I noted in a comment on Michael Reed's item that andLinux may not be active, as pointed out here (and after checking the site -- the last "News" item on the site is from 2009). But "ugh" is right -- why would anyone want to run Linux under Windows in the first place? |

@lcafiero There may be many many reasons to do so. Getting familiar with Linux within the comfort of what they know or using Linux for a one off task or application that doesn't work as well on Windows if at all. If nothing else it is a impressive piece of technology and we should certainly encourage more experimentation since we cannot anticipate all our future needs. |

I'd much rather that all the time, energy and resources that were expended on this effort had gone towards enhancing the real, full-on linux experience. |

I'd much rather people use their computers the way that they want too rather than have people in forums try to dictate terms. ;) |

Apparently nobody wanted to use the watered-down "linux" that the andlinux folks were into and it died from lack of interest. So much for dictating terms. |

Quoting:I'd much rather people use their computers the way that they want too rather than have people in forums try to dictate terms. Do you mean to imply that it's better for Corporations to dictate terms? (me ducking) |

Quoting:Do you mean to imply that it's better for Corporations to dictate terms? Why yes of course! (me joking) |
