I used andLinux on my work XPialidocious box back in the day, and it worked great. But this project has not been updated for many moons, and should not be promoted in its present state.

It's no surprise. Those who want to run linux run linux. Projects like andlinux inevitably wither and die from lack of interest IMHO.

Perhaps the same fate with Microsoft Virtual PC ?? Among its best known websites are http://microsoft-virtual-pc.software.informer.com/ and the link off of this, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/

OTOH, Canonical's Windows Ubuntu Installer (Wubi) might be around for awhile. Its website is https://launchpad.net/wubi

No, its website is http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/ and it's alive and apparently well.

That software.informer.com thing is a plague.

Now a day they have VMWare and Hyper-V for Windows (but I prefer the other way around, linux as host and Windows on top). KDEWin is a very good candidate and active, article should had been about this: http://windows.kde.org
