Finally? FINALLY? We can read Kindle books on our Linux machines?

Phew! I guess I can stop using the Kindle application that I have been using since 2009 then.

Am I missing something? This appears to me to be another "cloud" app that tries to keep control of your own property (in this case your ebook) after you've bought it.

All encrypted ebooks try to keep control of your ebook after you've bought it. This isn't something new with "the cloud".
