I can see this catching on in a big way once the crowds of geeks have completed their post-doctoral training in general relativity and had a chance to digest GR numerical algorithm theory and for good measure digested the import of Penrose/Hawking singularity theory. ;-) ;-) |

They could just work through Meisner, Thorne and Wheeler on their own time and skip the doctorate. That should get anyone up to speed. |

I doubt it to be honest unless you are genius material. You generally need a lot of interaction with established physicists..... |
