Sounds nice, but after reading the review it sounds like this distro has a fatal flaw: lack of software. Unlike the *buntus, and other Debian-derived distros, this distro sounds like you can only use software from its own repositories. Being a small distro, unlike Fedora, this means that it's not likely to have that much software there.

One of the biggest things I like about the *buntus, and why I use Kubuntu and Linux Mint personally, is because of the easy access to gigantic repositories. I don't feel like spending a lot of time compiling software; when I found out about something I want to try, I want to be able to just type "sudo apt-get install [package]", and that's it. With the mainstream distros, I can do that.

Yes, it's not that great when some GTK app looks slightly ugly on my KDE system, but that's a lot better than not having the app at all, or having to spend time compiling it myself, esp. if it's something I'm just trying out quickly and might not want to keep.

I tried the latest release with KDE 4.7rc1 and it is amazingly fast. Well, Even running it of a thumb drive is faster than Kubuntu KDE 4.6.5 running of my hard drive.

Will be checking it more thoroughly to see if it is over all better than Kubuntu.

Did you know that "Ubuntu" is an old African word meaning "Slackware is too difficult for us".
