I think we need to plant our flag with the company that is least contributing something to the code base and has a vested interest in Linux's survival. I for one want to check it out...

What I meant is that, for me, it's a non event that Linus is blogging/posting on Google +. I will have to check out Google +, sometime, just as I checked out Facebook. I expect I will post just as much on Google + as I curently post on Facebook.

I use faceplant to keep up with my kids and to see what outrage TC is inflicting. Other than that, Buddy Holly could open a FP page and I wouldn't much care...

I never used myspace/facebook/etc. I'm playing with G+ cuz a friend sent me an invite. I'm not finding it all that earth shattering. Yeah, it's kinda interesting to see what friends (that aren't always online on IRC/IM) are saying (most of the people on mine are geeky types anyway) or finding, but other than that...I'm just not seeing what the big deal is.
